Bodog Racebook
Bodog Racebook uses the Digital Gaming Solutions Inc.
software that is based in the United Kingdom. Bodog is said
to have the #1 internet racebook online. They offer over 80
tracks from around the world and give a number of rebates
and promotions to its customers.
Promotions
Bodog has a great initial sign-up bonus of 10% on your first deposit. Make a deposit as low as $20 and you will begin to receive free cash. Another great feature of this bonus is that there is no maximum amount on your initial bonus.
Many betting sites also offer rebates to its customers regardless of whether they win or lose. Bodog currently offers a 3% rebate, but this may change from week to week.
Features
The racebook does a spectacular job of listing all the upcoming events making it very easy for players to choose what event they would like to place a wager on. The listing orders the events as well, from race #1 down through the last race of the day. If you would like to place a wager then simply click on the event and you will see a number of features including the time of the event, the track, the maximum bet, and a listing of all the horses and their relative odds.
Along with the odds of the horses are different sections that allow users to bet on either a win, place or show combination. If you do not want to make one of those selections then tab over to the exacta, trifecta, or daily doubles tabs. The racebook also lists the jockey and the starting gates with the horse which are all very important facts to know while placing a bet.
Bodog has another important section that lists the previous events with details on that event. It shows what place the horse finished in, its starting gate, the jockey, the trainer, and the payout amounts for that race. In the Kentucky Derby, for example, Denis of Cork finished 3rd, raced out of gate 16, was trained by David Carroll, and had C. Borel for a jockey.
If you would like to see where horses are ranked then check out Bodog's Power rankings which will make wagering much easier. This section also lists the horses last start and finish.
After doing all of this research, players can begin to view upcoming races to decide where they would like to place their bets. The upcoming events show the horses trainer along with their earning thus far. Check out the track they will be racing on as well and Bodog lists these tracks under Thoroughbred Tracks or Harness Tracks. Race details can also be found here and you can learn about past champions along with other historical facts about the event.
